Great Introduction To Wise Ways Of Thinking About Your Money & Your Life |
I just finished The Money Gym – I took it skiing with me and got back last night. It strikes me as a very useful book for a number of reasons. It pulls together the elements of the ‘classics’ such as Robert Kiyosaki’s Rich Dad books and E-myth. If you haven’t read these already then it provides a great introduction to wise ways of thinking about your money and your life.
It’s also astonishingly packed with comprehensive insights, nearly 200 pages worth. Talk about "Value Added".
Personally what was really generous was the amount of information given away in chapter 8 – concerning internet marketing. I learned a shed load of new information here. I work in Universities facilitating entrepreneurship and have already started recommending the book as essential reading via an affiliate link (of course!).
We had a web audit yesterday and planned out a revamp for all of them based on this chapter. What was supposed to be an hours meeting turned into the whole day - and we really reconnected with our passions for what we do. I'm aware this sounds like a cheesy endorsement but its true, you've totally changed the way we think about websites and my husband runs a media business! Plus we can see the (income) possibilities now.
One other thing – Nicola comes across as very personable and is not afraid to tell her personal story. It all amounts to a highly readable piece of work – a great addition to the canon of stuff already out there! Recommended.

Nicola, your book is brilliant! I have dedicated this weekend to reading it and doing the exercises. As you are also offering 1 hour of email coaching to the first 100 people who purchased the book I am taking advantage of that as well and as I suspected you have a real gift for asking the right questions to get people to discover the right path to financial freedom for themselves.
From the very basic task (but something I haven’t done in years) of determining assets, liabilities and net worth and income vs outgo (cashflow) to exploring the different avenues of wealth creation, your book has it all. The many references to other resources by listing other websites and books that have helpful information and products is very useful as well.
As I suspected before I read the book, my avenue of wealth creation will be the internet, but your book re-ignited my interest in both property and stocks for the future and also reminded me to both envision my ideal Tuesday and keep it in the forefront of my mind to help keep me motivated and help me to attract what I do want rather than what I don’t want. As soon as my bad debt is paid off I will start paying myself first to create savings that I can invest for passive income.
The most useful chapter for me was the one on internet marketing and turning a passion into online income. I am doing that with my book ‘SomeDayMyPrinceWill .com’ which is the story of meeting my husband on the internet, and its companion workbook. My vision is to help other women who have been divorced open their hearts and find love again. Using the advice in your book and your emails to me I’ll be turning "Someday My Prince Will.com" into a profitable internet business and I’ll be creating a wordpress blog from which I’ll be able to drive traffic to this site as well as being able to sell other products that fit in with my niche. I see my niche as helping people live life with passion, love, health and financial freedom. I highly recommend your book to everybody who wants that in their life and I will definitley be promoting your book along with my own. Love is good and so is wealth but hey, why not have both!
